The Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid supported the Muang Siam Thai Association in the Canary in organization the Mobile Dhamma Project at the Island of Tenerife during 21 – 23 June 2019.  The Embassy received kind support from Pra Maha Nong, from Wat Nawamintararachutis, Lyon, France, in visiting Tenerife to teach a course on meditation.  The course was well received from the Thai community and there were 24 participants in the project.

On 23 June 2019, the Embassy and the Muang Siam Association organized the merit making ceremony at Hotel Botanico, with the support from Mr. Wolfgang Kiessling, honourary Consul of Thailand to the Canary Islands.  The event was also well received from the Thai community, with about 50 people participated.

The event provides a good opportunity for Thai community to listen to Dhamma teaching as well to perform merit making as currently there is no Thai Buddhist temple in Spain.  The event also provides a good opportunity for the members of the Royal Thai Embassy to meet with the Thai community.
