Special Advisor of Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) met with Spanish public and private sectors

During his visit to Spain, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Puangketkeow, Special Advisor of Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), met with Spanish public and private sectors to further enhance economic relations between Thailand and Spain, particularly within the EEC’s framework.

Mr. Puangketkeow met with Ms. Maria Paz Ramos, Director-General of Foreign Trade and Investment, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Spain to discuss on how to increase trade and investment volume between the two countries. EEC’s Special Advisor also stressed on investment opportunities in the EEC area for Spanish companies, especially in the targeted industries, including logistics and defense industries which Spain is famous for.

During his visit to Spain, EEC’s Special Advisor also visited Airbus Spain with expertise in military aircrafts and antenna, Iberdrola – a Spanish leading energy company at international level and Urbaser – an environmental company with new technology for waste management. The meetings with the three companies aimed at promoting the EEC to Spanish private sector, especially those belong to the EEC’s targeted industries and could help Thailand achieve Thailand 4.0, so that they are aware of the opportunities available as well as incentives and privileges they could enjoy investing in the EEC.
