Upon the assumption of duty, H.E. Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Thai Ambassador to Spain, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Ana Maria Salomon, Director General of North America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain on 14 May 2019.

Both sides share the view that Thailand-Spain relation, that is going celebrate its 150th Anniversary in 2020, has been well-rounded and very dynamic. Currently, our close cooperation covers 1) economic aspect, principally through activities with Spain-ASEAN Business Association 2) cultural and sport aspect and 3) food technology and innovation, among others.

At this meeting, both sides also followed up on the outcome of the 3rd Meeting of Thailand-Spain Political Consultation hosted by Thailand last March and updated the information regarding the 14 ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting that Spain will host in December this year.
