On 21 May 2019, Ms. Belen Polvorinos, Manager for Asia, LaLiga paid courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Ambassador of Thailand to Madrid to discuss ways and means to promote cooperation in the field of football between Thailand and Laliga.  Both sides discussed the possibility to promote capacity building of Thai coaches and trainers, in which Laliga sides is interested in working with the Thai side in the near future.

Currently Laliga had sent a representative to Thailand and has actively organized projects on football with relevant Thai authorities.  Recently the Thai U -16 team visited Spain to be trained and competed in matches with Spanish youth teams.  Furthermore, Laliga has signed the partnership agreement with the Thai League.
