On 2 April 2019, ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) in collaboration with Basque Trade and Investment organized ASEAN Business Forum in Bilbao. The activity aimed at creating visibility of ASEAN in Spanish public and promoting business and commercial activities between Spanish private sector, particularly in the Basque Country, and ASEAN.

At the Seminar, Director of Thailand’s Commercial Office in Madrid and Director of BOI, Paris Office shared with the participants the opportunities of doing business with Thailand. Both of them also met with Spanish major companies who are seeking business opportunities in Thailand, including Iberdrola, Sener and Biolan, in B2B meetings.

During this visit to Bilbao for the Seminar, the ACM also paid courtesy calls on Mr. Inigo Urkullu, President of the Basque Goverment, and Ms. Bakartxo Tejeria, President of the Basque Parliament to discuss on possible cooperation between ASEAN and the Basque Country. In this occasion, the ACM also visited Basque Culinary Center, one of the world most famous gastronomy institute, located in Spain.
