On 21 September 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid arranged a workshop by a group of teachers and students from Thailand’s College of Dramatic Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, for the Royal College of Dramatic Arts (Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático : RESAD) in Madrid. The group presented “Khon” Thai-masked dance drama, including the history of Khon, Khon performance “The Battle Royal”, demonstration of the dressing, as well as providing an opportunity for Spanish students to learn gestures according to the roles of each pantomime. The workshop was attended by interested RESAD faculty and students.
The group of teachers and students of the College of Dramatic Arts visited Madrid to present Thai traditional performances at the Thai tourism and gastronomy event organized by the Royal Thai Embassy.
