On 26 September 2022, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, welcomed and hosted lunch for high-level executives from the Science, Technology and Innovation related agencies (12 agencies) from Thailand and Spain, led by Mr. Weerapong Pairsuwan, Chairman of Regional Science Park Commitee and Mr. Javier Ponce, Director-General of CDTI. There were approximately 50 representatives, including Team Thailand officials.

On this occasion, the Ambassador reiterated the importance of Science, Technology and Innovation cooperation between Thailand and Spain. Especially in light of Spain´s expertise and technology that compliments with Thailand´s needs such as functional food, renewable energy, precision medicine and infrastructure. She also underscored the Embassy´s readiness to support and advance concrete cooperation in this sector between the two countries.

The Thai delegation´s visit to Spain was in part to participate in the 39th IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation which will be held in Sevilla from 27-30 September 2022.
