The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joins the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) 2026 and organises the Thai Pavilion and related tourism promotional activities at IFEMA, Madrid, with Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand; Ms. Nantasiri Ronnasiri, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Office in Rome; and TAT delegation attending the event.

On this occasion, Ms. Supamas Yunyasit, Chargé d'affaires a.i of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid attended the opening ceremony of the Thai Pavilion on 21 January 2026 and the Amazing Thailand Networking Lunch on 22 January 2026 under the theme 'Healing is the New Luxury', where partners from the from the Spanish tourism sector gathered. Statistics from 2025 shows a new record a new high of Spanish tourists travelling to Thailand for a second consecutive year reaching 216,249 persons, an increase of 4.11 % from 2024.
 
On the same day, the Chargé d'affaires a.i also took the opportunity to meet with Mr. Christoph Kiessling, Honorary Consul of Thailand at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, at Loro Parque booth in Pavilion 9, IFEMA.
 
FITUR is one of the major tourism exhibitions in Europe. It will be open to the public during 24 - 25 January 2026 (tickets available at www.ifema.es/fitur). Visitors can check out the Thai Pavilion in Hall 8 at IFEMA.
