On 9 February 2021, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Chargé d’afffaires, a.i., Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid had a meeting with Mr. Ricardo Losa, Deputy Director General for North America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, to discuss on the strengthening of Thailand-Spain bilateral relations and cooperation in various aspects.

In this occasion, both sides expressed delight over the successful celebration of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Spain last year. Moreover, both sides agreed to move forward cooperation in potential areas including, education, science and technology as well as the promotion of exchange of high-level visits.
