On 16 February 2021, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Chargé d´affaires, a.i., Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, visited the headquarter of the Cervantes Institute in Madrid and had a meeting with Mr. Rafael Soriano, Director of International Relations of the Institute, in which both sides exchanged views on activities organized by the Institute as well as the situation of Spanish teaching in Thailand. At the meeting, the Thai Chargé d´affaires informed the Director of the interest of Thai educational institutions to concretize cooperation with the Institute in view of increasing popularity of Spanish language among young people and private sector in Thailand.
