On 11 December 2018, Charge d’affaires of Thailand hosts lunch in honour to Mr. Fernando Raigal, Spanish diver who participated in the mission to rescue 12 youths from Wild Boar Academy Football Team trapped in Thamluang Cave, Chiang Rai Province of Thailand in July 2018.

Currently, Mr. Raigal resides in Thailand and has returned to Spain for a short break to visit family and to receive the Gold Medal for Solidarity (Medalla de Oro a la Solidaridad) from Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare of Spain and Award for Honourary Citizen from the townhall of Ciudad Real, which is Mr. Raigal’s hometown.
