On 11 July 2017, the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) held a meeting to review activities and projected aimed towards cooperation with Spain and discussed plan of action of the Committee in the next 6 months. The Committee also exchanged information of the recent cooperation between ASEAN and EU.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairmanship of ACM was transferred from Her Excellency Ambassador of Indonesia to His Excellency Ambassador of Malaysia who will be Chair during July – December 2017.

On this occasion, the Committee expressed its high appreciation to Her Excellency Ambassador of Indonesia for her tirelessly devotion as chair the ACM throughout her 1 year Chairmanship.​
