The Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, in cooperation with the Thai Trade Centre, the Tourism Authority, the Thai Airways International (PCL) and the CP Com. Ltd, organized an event public called “Thai Tapas Evening” to promote Thai food to the Spanish public on 1 September 2011 from 17.30-20.30 hrs. at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Embassy had invited general Spanish public to taste various kinds of Thai style tapas mainly cooked with CP products such as deep fried prawn served with apple salad/ Somtam/Thai grapefruit salad, prawn with tamarind sauce, roast duck with red curry sauce and Thai style tortilla along with Thai dessert which was imported from Thailand.

                        Moreover, the Event was also joined by two Thai restaurants in Madrid, namely Thaidy and Bangkok Siam which served their specialties as well as present the art of fruit and vegetable carving to the Spanish people. The Event received a very good response from more than 800 Spanish people who were impressed by the wide range of Thai food which could served as tapas and could easily response to the Spanish life style.
