On 22 July 2011, at the Tenerife Island, the Royal Thai Embassy organized a Ceremony to Confer the Royal Decoration of “ Knight Commander of the White Elephant” to Mr. Wolfgang Friedrich Kiessling, Honorary Consul General of Thailand to the Canary Islands for his 16 years of the most dedicated service to the Kingdom of Thailand. The Ceremony was held in front of the Portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Mr. Kiessling responded by expressing his deep gratitude towards His Majesty the King for bestowing upon him this prestigious Royal Decoration. Many distinguished persons were invited to participate the Ceremony such as Mr. Ricardo Melchior, President of the Tenerife Island Council  Mr. Jose Carlos Francisco, Chairman of the CEOE Entrepreneur’s Association in Tenerife  Mr. Ricardo Fernandez, Deputy Regional Minister of Tourism of the Canary Islands’ Government  Mr. Jose Ramon Navarro, President of the Tenerife Provincial Court  including former foreign Ambassadors and Consul General  etc.
