Charge d’affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid jointly inaugurated the photo exhibition “Sea of Red Lotus of Udon Thani, Thailand,” during the pink peach blossom week in the town of Aitona.  The event was attended by members of the city council as well as general public of Aitona. 

Aitona is situated in the northeastern part of Spain.  The town is well known for agriculture and main products is peach.  During the month of March every year the town cherishes beautiful sight of pink peach blossom.  Aitona Town Hall has learned of the sea of Red Lotus and the promotion of agritourism in Udon Thani in Thailand; and approached the Embassy to establish the said photo exhibition.

Spain and Thailand attach importance to agriculture; both countries are also the world’s top tourist destinations.  The said exhibition is one of the ways to promote tourism of both sides, as well as promote cooperation through the beauty of flower and agritourism.
