From 1 October 2021, applicants of a Non-Immigrant Visa Type O-A (1-year period) are required to provide health insurance documents as follows:

1. A photocopy of insurance policy that covers the whole period of stay (no more than one year):

1.1 In case of foreign insurance policy: the applicant must have a photocopy of medical insurance policy or a photocopy of certificate of foreign social security, which expressly covers medical treatments of general sickness and COVID-19, with minimum coverage of 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB.

or

1.2 In case of Thai insurance policy: the applicant must have a photocopy of medical insurance policy, which expressly covers medical treatments of general sickness and COVID-19, with minimum coverage of 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB.

2. In either case, Non-Immigrant O-A visa applicants must obtain a unified certificate, acknowledged by foreign or Thai insurance companies or foreign government agencies concerned, to accompany a corresponding insurance.

3. In the case that the insurance application is rejected, Non-Immigrant O-A visa applicants may instead supply following documents:

3.1 A letter to certify that the insurance application is rejected by a Thai or foreign insurance company.

3.2 A photocopy of bank account, or other health insurance policies, with total amount of 3,000,000 THB deposit maintained in a bank account for the past two months. (This amount is separate from the required deposit of 800,000 THB for daily expenditures.)
