On 11 April 2023, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, together with Mr. Worawut Chawengkiat, Counsellor, welcomed Mr. Fernando Martín, Executive Director of the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC), Spain, who provided information about the WAGC and discussed ways to promote cooperation with the embassy. The WAGC will lead Spanish amateur golfers to the final round of WAGC in Phuket, Thailand, in November 2023, where amateur golfers from 40 countries will compete.
