Updates on the shooting at Siam Paragon Mall, in Bangkok, on October 3^rd 2023, that left two dead and five injured.

The Royal Thai Government expresses its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives and wishes for a swift and full recovery for those injured by this tragedy. Their Majesties the King and the Queen of Thailand have graciously accepted to take care of all related medical expenses for those who have been injured in this incident.

Following the incident, the relevant Thai agencies have discussed three major issues, as follows:

1. The Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports are facilitating assistance and coordination for the affected tourists, in terms of family access and relief measures. The Royal Thai Police has also facilitated such assistance immediately after the incident took place.
2. A Situation Command Centre has been established to facilitate assistance for the injured and deceased and to provide updates and communications on the situation in a timely manner, as well as to support the integrated efforts of the relevant, key Thai agencies to address matters related to the incident.
3. The authorities concerned resolved to strengthen measures to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future, which includes stepping up security measures in public areas. The Royal Thai Police also has had provided security training in public areas for security and related personnel, and training for school children on safety precautions as well as actions to be taken during emergency situations.

Actualizaciones relacionadas con el tiroteo en el centro comercial Siam Paragon, en Bangkok, el 3 de octubre de 2023, que dejó dos muertos y cinco heridos.

El Gobierno Real de Tailandia expresa sus más profundas condolencias a las familias y seres queridos de aquellos que perdieron la vida y desea una rápida y completa recuperación para los heridos por esta tragedia. Sus Majestades el Rey y la Reina de Tailandia han aceptado amablemente hacerse cargo de todos los gastos médicos relacionados con los heridos en este incidente.

Tras el incidente, los organismos tailandeses competentes han debatido las tres siguientes cuestiones principales:

1. La Autoridad de Turismo de Tailandia y el Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte están facilitando la asistencia y la coordinación para los turistas afectados, en términos de acceso a familiares y medidas de socorro. La Policía Real Tailandesa también ha facilitado dicha asistencia inmediatamente después de que se produjera el incidente.
2. Se ha establecido un Centro de Mando para facilitar la asistencia a los heridos y fallecidos e informar sobre la situación de manera oportuna, así como para apoyar los esfuerzos coordinados de los organismos tailandeses pertinentes y clave para abordar las cuestiones relacionadas con el incidente.
3. Las autoridades competentes han decidido endurecer las medidas para evitar que este tipo de incidentes se repitan en el futuro, lo que incluye reforzar las medidas de seguridad en las zonas públicas. La Policía Real Tailandesa también ha impartido formación en materia de seguridad en zonas públicas para el personal de seguridad y afines, así como formación para escolares sobre las precauciones de seguridad y las medidas que deben tomarse en situaciones de emergencia.
