Chargé d´affaires, a.i. attended the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Loro Parque

On 17-18 December 2022, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Chargé d´affaires, a.i. Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, and Mr. Pakorn Kumpornlua, First Secretary, attended the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Loro Parque, by the invitation of Mr. Wolfgang Kiessling, former Honorary Consul-General of Thailand to the Canary Islands and the owner of Loro Parque.

On this occasion, the Chargé d´affaires paid a visit to the aforementioned office of the Thai Honorary Consulate-General to the Canary Islands, which was welcomed by Mr. Christoph Kiessling, Honorary Vice-Consul (the Embassy is currently in the process of appointing a new Honorary Consul). Consequently, the Chargé d´affaires also had the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Naphidthidla Thawirathchaichoth, the President of Thai Muang Siam Association, to discuss the activities of the Association as well as the livelihood of the Thai community in Tenerife. He also provided Thailand's local medicinal herb, Fah Talai Jone (green chiretta or andrographis paniculate), to Mrs. Thawirathchaichoth to further distribute to Thais in the area.
