On 3 June 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid organized a networking event for the Thai community in Spain, along with a legal awareness training session covering essential laws for Thais living abroad, at NH Barcelona Eixample Hotel in Barcelona.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, delivered the opening remarks. Mr. Mungkorn Pratoomkaew, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the participants and introduced the roles and responsibilities of the Department of Consular Affairs. Ms. Jatuporn Saenghiran, Director-General of the Department of Trafficking in Persons Litigation, along with representatives from the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Consular Affairs, also gave informative presentations to the attendees, who included representatives from Thai communities across various cities in Spain as well as local residents of Barcelona.

This event was organized in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, the Samakkhi Thai Friends Association in Barcelona, the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Office of the Attorney General. The topics covered key issues relevant to the lives of Thai nationals abroad, such as modern slavery, support for victims of human trafficking, laws on nationality, military service obligations, land and inheritance laws, as well as a presentation on the mission of the A21 organization. There was also a Q&A session on Spanish family law conducted by a Spanish legal expert.

This activity not only provided valuable legal knowledge to Thais living in Spain but also served as a platform for information exchange, community networking, and strengthening the bonds among the Thai communities across the country.
