On 8 June 2023, at Sala Thai in Loro Parque, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, presided over the Royal Decoration Presentation Ceremony to bestow the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand to Mr. Wolfgang Kiessling, former Honorary Consul-General of Thailand to the Canary Islands. For 26 years, he has performed his duty thoroughly and played an important role in the protection and safeguarding the interests of Thailand and the Thai community in the Canary Islands, as well as supported the various activities of the Embassy and the Thai community in the region. He also facilitated the Embassy in receiving Royal visits to the Canary Islands during his time.
Afterwards, the Ambassador and Embassy officials were invited to a reception in honor of Mr. Wolfgang. On this occasion, the Ambassador gave a speech congratulating Mr. Wolfgang and at the same time informed the guests the appointment of Mr. Christoph Kiessling (son of Mr. Wolfgang Kiessling) as the new Honorary Consul of Thailand at Santa Cruz de Tenerife (with consular jurisdiction covering the Canary Islands).
