On 14 September 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid organised an online webinar briefing on "Spain Renewable Energy Sector: Outlook and Business Opportunities". Speakers of the webinar were Mr. Pau Roman and Ms. Mireia Navaz, Energy Consultants of Trebol Energia, and Mr. Javier Alberto Munoz, Director of Communications and Institutional Relations from the Association of Renewable Energy (APPA). The event brought together around 30 participants from the Thai public and private sectors.

On this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain welcomed the participants to the briefing and informed them that this activity builds on the successful seminar "Thailand-Spain Partnership towards Green Energy", which the Embassy organised in June 2021. This year, the Embassy has entrusted Trebol Energia, a renewable energy consultant in Spain, to conduct a detailed study report of the overview of the Spanish renewable energy market and the latest trend and forecast of the renewable energy sector, as well as business opportunities for the Thai private sector. This briefing aims to present the gist of the study report, as the Embassy recognises that renewable energy is a sector that Thai and Spain have the potential for further cooperation. This includes dimensions on learning of experience, policy, and strategies of the renewable energy sector of Spain, the dimension of cooperation opportunities in research and development, and the dimension of doing business together, including investment.
