On 24 January 2026, Ms. Supamas Yunyasit, Chargé d'affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, participated in the "Learn Thai, Know Spain" project to promote learning the Thai language and Thai-Spanish culture. The event was held at the San Jose Maria Escriva Parish Church in Valencia. She was welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Yeamduan Narangajavana, President of the Thai Association in Valencia. This project, initiated by the Association, aims to promote the learning of Thai and Spanish languages among Thai and Spanish families, as well as those interested in learning Thai in the surrounding area. The project comprises various activities throughout the year, including Thai language classes for children and adults, Thai cooking workshops, and activities promoting Thai culture such as Loy Krathong and Songkran. This project aligns with the Royal Thai Embassy's goal of strengthening the Thai community and promoting soft power of the Thai language.

The event marked the first day of Thai language classes of the year, and included a lesson on the royal history of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. On this occasion, the CDA also handed over the Embassy's financial support for the project.

Subsequently, on 25 January 2026, the CDA also presided over the opening ceremony of the 2026 New Year celebration organized by the Thai Association in Valencia. The event featured Thai dance performances, including the "Rom Phakakarn" blessing dance, sword and Muay Thai demonstrations from Sangha Muay Thai y Dojo Hikari school, and performances by the youth group from "Learn Thai, Know Spain." Over 80 Thai and Spanish people attended the event.
