On 19 January 2021, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Chargé d´affaires, a.i., Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, who was appointed by the Minister of Tourism and Sports as Head of the Thai delegation, attended  the 113th  Session of the UNWTO Executive Council, held in Madrid.

Measures for the restarting of world tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic, the strengthening of sustainable tourism, human resources development in the sector and the youth participation in the promotion of tourism were main issues discussed at the meeting.
