On 15 April 2021, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, received Mr. Tomas Gonzalez, President of Spain-ASEAN Business Association, and Mr. Antonio Viñal, Secretary-General of the Association, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid. At the meeting, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Minister, and Ms. Triyaporn Boonsiriya, Minister Counsellor (Commerce), were also present.
In this occasion, both sides exchanged views on the further strengthening of economic relation between Thailand and Spain as well as that of ASEAN and Spain. The meeting also discussed on cooperation between the Embassy and the Association in jointly organizing activities, including business seminars and the exchange of visits between both countries´ private sector. The Thai Ambassador also took this opportunity to inform the Association´s executives of Thailand´s economic situation and extend invitation to the Spanish private sector to expand investment and commercial relations with Thailand.
