On 14 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, in his capacity as Chair of ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM - Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam), led Ambassadors/representatives of ACM to a courtesy call and a meeting with H.E. Diego Martinez Belio, Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs, joined by H.E. Mr. Carlos Moreno Blanco, Director-General for North America, Eastern Europe, and Asia-Pacific, and Mr. Gerardo Fueyo Bros, Deputy Director-General for North America, Eastern Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
 
On this occasion, the Ambassador presented the mandate of ACM to deepen the relationship between ASEAN and Spain, where ASEAN could be a trade hub and a potential market for Spain and Europe. The Ambassador also reiterated the close and mutual 154 years of Thai-Spain bilateral relations and sought Spain's support in the negotiations of the Thai-EU FTA and Thailand's OECD membership. He also invited the State Secretary and high-level Spanish executives to officially visit Thailand.
