On 9-11 January 2016, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, paid a working visit to Tenerife in the Canary Islands, during which the Ambassador, together with H.E. Mr. Wolfgang Kiessling, the Honorary Consul-General of Thailand in Canary Islands and delegation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. José Manuel Bermúdez, Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Ambassador  also had a meeting to discuss ways and means to promote bilateral trade and investment between Thailand and Tenerife with Mr. Ricardo Melchior Navarro, President of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Mr. Santiago Sese Alonso, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Mrs. Beatriz Barrera, President of the Consortium of the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC), and H.E. Mr. IIdefonso Socorro Quevedo, Viceminister for Economy, Industry, Trade and Knowledge of the Government of the Canary Islands and Vicepresident of PROEXCA (a public company promoting the internationalization of Canarian companies and the attraction of strategic investments into the islands)
