On 23 September 2016, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand, participated in the seminar entitled “Thailand: A Strategic Country in ASEAN” which was co-organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid and the Madrid Chamber of Commerce at the Palacio de Santoña. Following the welcoming remarks by Mr. Augusto de Castañeda, Vice President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassador delivered an opening remarks on “Thailand’s economy and main economic policies”. This was followed by the presentation on “Business and Investment Opportunities in Thailand : Main Sectors” by Mr. Choowong Tangkooksombati, Minister Counsellor, Thailand Board of Investment Office in Paris, and the presentation on “Legal and Fiscal Framework to Do Business in Thailand” by Mr. Antonio Viñal, Antonio Viñal & Co. Abogados. Representatives from GAMESA and BEFESA companies also presented their business experiences in Thailand. The seminar was attended by more than 80 persons from the business and academic sectors, who had the opportunity to try Thai food and desserts served after the seminar.
