On 3 March 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid in collaboration with the Elcano Royal Institute, a leading think tank on foreign affairs of Spain invited Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, Former Secretary-General of ASEAN and Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand  to speak on the topic of “Thailand Today” at a working breakfast at the Elcano Royal Institute in Madrid. Participants were comprised of representatives from public and private sectors, university, think tanks as well as foreign diplomats in Spain. The discussion was informal and straightforward.
