On Sunday 23 November 2014, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy, Madrid, on behalf of the Thai Ambassador to Spain, presided over the Loy Krathong Festival 2014 at Parc de l’Espanya Industrial in Barcelona. This year, the Thai community in Barcelona in collaboration with Casa Asia and UDUTAMA (association for the support of ethnic or cultural minorities, registered in Catalonia, Spain) organized  the Loy Krathong Festival with the main objectives to preserve cultural heritage of Thailand and create awareness of Thailand in Barcelona by introducing various aspects of Thailand through many activities such as Thai cultural performances, Thai boxing demonstration, Miss Noppamas beauty pageant Contest.
