H.E. Mr. Kulkumt Singhara Na Ayudhya has presented the Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Spain, to His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of the Kingdom of Spain at the Royal Palace (Palacio Real) Madrid, Spain.

                        After the Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence in Spanish,  His Majesty King Juan Carlos I most graciously granted a private audience to  the Ambassador, of which Ms. Trinidad Jimenez, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation  of Spain also attended.

                        The Ambassador conveyed the message of condolence from His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand to the Kingdom of Spain for the tragic earthquake in the town of Lorca in Murcia, Spain on 11 May 2011, as well as expressed H.M. the King of Thailand’s good wishes that the situation will return to normal.

                        H.M. the King of Spain expressed his gratitude towards H.M.the King of Thailand and informed the Ambassador that at present the Spanish Government is providing assistance to the people affected by the said earthquake. H.M. the King of Spain then requested the Ambassador to convey his and Her Majesty Queen Sofia’s admiration to their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand. H.M. the King of Spain also expressed his wishes that H.M. the King of Thailand’s good health will return.  

                        Afterwards, H.M. the King of Spain conversed with the Ambassador on the important political events in Thailand and H.M. the King of Spain expressed his wishes to see a closer bilateral relationship between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Spain.
