On 9 June 2020, Spain-ASEAN Business Association hosted a webinar on COVID-19 in Thailand: Current Situation and Perspectives.
At the webinar, H.E. Mr. Emilio de Miguel Calabria, Ambassador of Spain to Thailand, Mr. Luis Lopez, Counsellor, Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in Bangkok and Mr. Jose Sanchez, President of the Spanish-Thai Chamber of Commerce shared information on the current political, economic and social situation in Thailand to encourage more business and investment flows between Thailand and Spain. According to the Spanish Ambassador, Sustainable Development Goals and Connectivity are two areas of common interests where the two countries could develop cooperation. Moreover, he believes that La Liga, the entity that has already established a representative office in Thailand, could also be a key mechanism to push forward Thailand-Spain bilateral relations. He also urged the exchange of high level delegations which would be important key in enhancing bilateral relations.
