Besides the meetings with authorities in Bangkok, Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid took the delegation from the city of Almeria, Spain, comprising of representatives from the University of Almeria, Tecnova Technology Center, Andalucian Institute of Agriculture and Fisheries Research and Training and Almeria Provincial Government, to visit Chiang Mai.

At the northern province of Thailand, the Spanish delegation had the fruitful meetings with Highland Research and Development Institute (Public Organization), Royal Projects Foundation, Maejo University and Chiang Mai University during 11-12 July 2019 where they exchanged knowledge and information on horticulture and greenhouse technology for warm climate. The delegation also visited Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon to observe the development of greenhouse technology in Thailand.

As the result of the meetings, Kasetsart University Kampangsaen Campus, Maejo University and Chiang Mai University are interested in signing an MoU to strengthen cooperation education, particularly the exchange of students and researchers with University of Almeria whose expertise is Agricultural Sciences. Moreover,Tecnova Technology Center and Andalucian Institute of Agriculture and Fisheries Research and Training will look into the possibilities of doing joint research and training on greenhouse technology with Departmemt of Agriculture, Royal Projects Foundation and Highland Research and Development Institute (Public Organization) and Royal Projects Foundation.
