On 17 June 2019, Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid in collaboration with the Eastern Economic Corridor Office and the Board of Investment of Thailand, Paris Office, organized Seminar on Thailand’s EEC: Opportunities for Spain at Club Financiero Genova in Madrid. The main objective of the seminar is to draw more Spanish business in the fields of aviation, defense and logistics, the industries whereby Spain is highly competitive at the global level, to invest in Thailand, especially in the EEC.

H.E. Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Thai Ambassador to Spain, gave an opening remarks stressing on the need to further enhance economic ties between Spain and Thailand. H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Special Advisor to the EECO and Ms. Cherdchan Arunrat, Minister Counsellor (Investment), Thailand’s Board of Investment, Paris Office talked about business opportunities in Thailand, particularly in the EEC, for Spanish business and the privileges offered by the Thai government to foreign investors.

After the seminar in which there were 40 participants, the Royal Thai Embassy also organized one-on-one business meetings for private sectors interested in doing business with Thailand. The activity ended with a networking reception aiming at fostering business relations between Thailand’s institutions and Spanish companies.
