Thai Friends Samakkhi Association of Barcelona organized Thai Festibal 2019 under the theme “Hola Tailandia 2019” at Arco de Triunfo de Barcelona on 26 May 2019 during 11.30 – 18.00 hrs. The Festival was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Ambassador of Thailand to Madrid, with the presence of representatives from Casa Asia and the President of Thai Friends Samakkhi Association during the opening ceremony.

The Thai Festival has been organized for five years consecutively, with the support from Barcelona Town Hall, who granted permission for the use of Arco de Triunfo.  More than 15,000 people participated in the event, enjoying the Thai classical dances, Thai boxing, as well as Thai cooking demonstration. In addition, visitors had an opportunity to try authentic Thai food as well as Thai fruits sent directly from Thailand.  The Festival also provide tourist information for visitors, with the support from Tourism Authority of Thailand.
