On 27 April 2023, the Ambassador of Thailand to Spain assigned Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Minister, to welcome and accompany executives from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), headed by Dr. Amornrat Apinunmahakul, Assoc. Prof. and Vice President for Planning and Community Engagement, for a study visit at the headquarters of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Eunji Tae, Department Officer of the Regional Department for Asia and the Pacific. On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in education under the tourism sector between UNWTO and NIDA. The UNWTO invited NIDA to apply for UNWTO´s tourism accreditation programme, or TEDQUAL, as well as applying for UNWTO's associate membership.
