On the evening of 20 September 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid organized a Thai tourism and gastronomy event titled "Thai Nite in Madrid" at the Westin Palace Hotel. Around 100 high-level Spanish executives from the government, private sector, academia, travel agencies and the media, as well as Team Thailand officials participated in the event.

On this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha EKAROHIT, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, delivered a welcoming remarks, emphasizing Thailand’s readiness to welcome tourists from Spain and its strengths as a business destination. The Ambassador also invited guests, who are considered friends of Thailand, to collaborate in the promotion of tourism and economic cooperation between Spain and Thailand. The guests enjoyed various activities in the event including Thai-styled vegetable and fruit carving, traditional Thai performances of the College of Dramatic Arts, fashion show of Thai fabrics by honorary models from the personnel of the Royal Thai Embassy and representatives of the Thai community in Spain, presentation on Thai tourism market by the Blue Room Project- the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s representative in Spain, as well as a variety of Thai food from the chefs of the Royal Thai Embassy and Yothai Restaurant.
