On 20 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, along with his spouse, Chiefs of Team Thailand offices, as well as Embassy officers, welcomed the delegation of the Standing Committee on Labour of the House of Representatives, headed by Mr. Saritpong Kiewkong, Chairman of the Committee.
On this occasion, both sides agreed to promote the employment of Thai labour in Spain as Spain has a high demand for skilled labour in numerous sectors. The Embassy also coordinated and participated in the meeting and study visit of the delegation as follows (1) 21 May 2024 meeting with Committee of Labour, Social Economy, Inclusion, Social Security and Migration of the Congress of Spain headed by Mrs. Maria Luisa Garcia Gurrutxaga, First Vice President of the Committee and (2) 23 May 2024 meeting with Mr. Jesus Gallego, Secretary of International Policy of the Spanish labour union Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT).
