On 17 February 2026, Ms. Supamas Yunyasit, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., welcomed Mr. Luke Uribe-Etxebarria Apalategi, Spanish Senator from the Basque Country (País Vasco), at the Royal Thai Embassy. On this occasion, both parties discussed preparations in organizing the Embassy's Thai food demonstration project to be held in San Sebastian this coming April. The project aims to promote Thai food as a "soft power" in Spain, an initiative in which local regional authorities have expressed their full support.
