On 12 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid held a merit-making ceremony on the occasion of the fiftieth (50th) day of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The ceremony was presided over by Venerable Napan, Assistant Abbot of Wat Saket and Chair of the Institute of Buddhist Management for Happiness and Peace (IBHAP) on the Sangha side, and Ms. Supamas Yunyasit, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., on the layperson side. About 30 participants, including Team Thailand officials, their families, and members of the Thai community in Spain, attended the ceremony.

Participants chanted prayers, meditated, and offered lunch to the monk. Phra Maha Naphan held a conversation with the participants on Idappaccayatā.
 
He explained that all things depend on conditionality. All our doings, affect each and everyone of us. Hence Thais today continue to benefit from the boundless benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. He then encouraged the Thai community to reflect on how they can improve their present conditions, to better their future. After the conversation, the Thai community enjoyed lunch together before leaving.
