On 23 November 2024, Mr. Worawut Chawengkiat, Counsellor, attended the "Loy Krathong Festival in Fuengirola, Malaga 2024," which took place at the Recinto Ferial Fuengirola, Peña Diana. as representative of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid. On this occasion, Captain Yuthanavi Mungthanya, Defence and Naval Attaché, and Commander Chotivit Wathanakhiri, Deputy Naval Attaché, along with their spouses, also participated in the event.

The Loy Krathong Festival in Fuengirola was held for the third consecutive year by the Thai Association in Andalusia, with Ms. Yupin Jancha serving as president, together with the committee and the Thai community from various cities, including Madrid, Tenerife, Valencia, and Mallorca. The event featured activities such as krathong floating, Thai cultural performances, a country music singing contest, a traditional Thai fabric fashion show, and Thai food stalls. The event helps to preserve Thai culture and promote Thailand to Spanish and foreign attendees.
