On 13 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, attended a meeting between the executives of the EFE News Agency and the diplomatic corps from Asia and the Pacific. Mr. Miguel Ángel Oliver, President of EFE, and Mr. Javier Parrondo, Director General of Casa Asia, welcomed the attendees, who also discussed cooperation between the news agency and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

EFE is the fourth-largest wire service news agency in the world. It produces images and news content in Spanish, with reporters based in every region. EFE has an office in Thailand, which is one of three editing desks serving as a center for news production in the region.
