On 20 April 2021, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Fernando Fernández-Arias Minuesa, Director-General for United Nations, International Organizations and Human Rights, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain. Mr. Fernando Fernández-Aguayo Muñoz, Adviser, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Minister and Ms. Prapasri Chetsonkcul, Counsellor were also present at the meeting.

In this occasion, both sides exchanged views on global situations and issues of mutual interests of the two countries. Additionally, the further strengthening of cooperation in various issues, including the exchange of reciprocal support at elections in international organizations, the promotion of women´s and children´s rights, the fight against climate change and human trafficking as well as the promotion of human rights, was discussed.
