Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid welcomed the Committee on Commerce and Intellectual Property of the House of Representatives of Thailand

On 4 December 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy, led by H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, along with Captain Yuthanavi Mungthanya, Defence and Naval Attaché, and Ms. Patcharamon Trakultivakorn, Minister Counselor (Commercial) and Director of the Office of International Trade Promotion, received Mr. Pramual Pongthawaradet, Chairperson of the Committee, and committee members and staff as part of their study trip to Spain and Portugal during 2-10 December 2024.

In this occasion, the ambassador and embassy representatives provided a briefing on Thai-Spanish relations, focusing on trade, and the export and import, as well as the embassy's efforts to promote economic cooperation with Spain.
 
In addition, the committee also met to discuss trade and investment with Ms. Laura Jarillo Carrasco, Deputy Director General for International Trade and Investment, and officials at the Ministry of Economy, Commerce, and Business of the Kingdom of Spain. The committee also visited El Corte Ingles, a leading retail department store in Spain that imports Thai products, and its affiliated businesses, including life/health insurance and leading clothing brands, as well as Viajes El Corte Ingles, which sells travel packages to Thailand. From January to November 2024, the sales of travel packages to Thailand showed a remarkable growth rate of 34.25% compared to the previous year.
