On 23 September 2021, ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) and Emperador Group co-organized a breakfast meeting, in which executives from leading Spanish food and beverage companies participated. The breakfast meeting served as an opportunity to enhance ASEAN relations with Spain and to promote economic opportunities in ASEAN and its member countries.

In this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit,  Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, in capacity as current Chair of the Committee, gave an opening remarks on behalf of the ACM. In her speech, the Thai Ambassador invited Spanish private sector to explore further cooperation with ASEAN in trade, investment and product R&D as well as to take advantage of  the benefits to be offered by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement, which will enter into force early next year.
