On 28 May 2021, H.E.  Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Joan Ribo, Mayor of Valencia, upon her assumption of duty. Ms. Samerjit Limlikit, Counsellor and Ms. Prapasri Chetsonkcul, Counsellor, participated in the meeting.

In this occasion, both sides exchanged views on the strengthening of relations between Thailand and the city of Valencia, particularly in the fields of trade, tourism and agrobusiness, which are the economic sectors that both sides possess expertise. 

Moreover, the Thai Ambassador sought assistance from the Mayor of Valencia in taking care of the Thai community which consists of 50 members approximately, who work and/or live with their families in the city. She also informed the Mayor of the Embassy’s endeavour to empower the Thai community so that the Thai people can contribute to the development of Valencia.
