On 9 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, and Mr. Pakorn Kumpornlua, First Secretary, attended the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) 2/2023 meeting hosted by Dato Akmal Che Mustafa, Ambassador of Malaysia, as the rotating Chair of ACM (members comprised of the Philippines, Viet Nam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand). The Meeting exchanged views on important developments in ASEAN and the political and economic situation of Spain, as well as discussed events and activities that ACM will implement in the future. On this occasion, the Malaysian Ambassador hosted lunch for ACM and invited Mr. Jose Maria Beneyto, President of the Spanish Foreign Policy Association (APEE), H.E. Mr. Nakamae Takahiro, Ambassador of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Sarwar Mahmood, Ambassador of Bangladesh as guests.
