On 21 July 2022, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain (on a working visit to the city of Palma de Mallorca) assigned Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Minister, as representative to attend the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) at the Ambassador of Indonesia to Spain's residence.

In this meeting, H.E. Mr. Hoang Xuan Hai, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Spain handed over the Chairmanship of the ACM to H.E. Mr. Muhammad Najib, Ambassador of Indonesia to Spain, who will be the Chair of ACM during the latter half of this year. The meeting also reviewed ACM's past activities and discussed plans for implementing the remaining ACM activities of 2022, to continue the momentum of enhancing ASEAN-Spain cooperation.
