On 7 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, and Mr. Pakorn Kumpornlua, First Secretary, attended the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) Meeting 3/2023. H.E. Mr. Philippe J. Lhuillier, Ambassador of the Philippines, as the rotating Chair of ACM (whose members include the Ambassadors of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Viet Nam and Thailand) hosted the meeting. The meeting exchanged views on important developments in ASEAN and the political/economic developments in Spain, and also discussed on planned activities in which the ACM will work together in the future.

In addition, the meeting also presided over the handover of the rotating Chair from the Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines Ambassador, who will assume the duties of the Chair from July-December 2023.
