On 28 June 2019, H.E. Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Thai Ambassador to Spain, hosted a dinner in honour of a group of Thai experts on Halal Tourism, comprising of Mr. Pakorn Priyakorn, Director of Thailand Halal Standard Institute, Mr. Tawat Noipom, Director of Halal Institute, Prince of Songkla University and Mr. Aree Binprathan, Academic in Thai tourism industry. The Thai delegation visited Spain upon the invitation of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid with the mission to exchange knowledge and best practices on the development of Halal Tourism between Thailand and Spain.

 

In this opportunity, the Thai Ambassador shared with the delegation situation in Spain, especially on its economic potential as well as the Embassy’s activities to promote Thailand-Spain bilateral relations. The Ambassador also reiterated his readiness to push forward the cooperation between the two countries in one of the economic sectors with high potential of growth for both Thailand and Spain, Halal Tourism.
